The III X.ITE Research Storm 2018 took place on Friday, October 26th 2018 @ LUISS Laboratory of Fabulous Things (LOFT).
There is no doubt that the technological universe in which we are immersed, hyper-interconnections and intelligent objects are drawing a new geography of consumer behavior and related social relations. It is emerging a new atlas made of individuals who present forms of attachment to increasingly "smart" objects similar to the forms of attachment that characterize interpersonal relationships, influencing the processes of purchase and consumption of all kinds. And interpersonal relationships mediated by intelligent objects that are changing the structure and dynamics of social networks, in which in turn purchases and consumption "happen". X.ITE Research Team presented new models and empirical evidence on smart-objects' adoption and their role in interpersonal relationships, emphasizing perspectives and results through the application of neuroscience and neurophysiological approaches and metrics. With the active participation and support of our Business Community members, we finally identified future research questions and directions.
