Smart mobility is easy to say. Technologies, behaviors, market dynamics, business strategies, environmental impacts, government policies. There are many variables involved in the dynamics of smart mobility, which are countless and connected: an intertwining that makes it hard to predict the development of the market, services and value for end users. The goal of the research conducted by X.ITE Research Team for the second EY Mobility Think Thank 2019, was to try to unveil not only a deep representation of the state of the art on the mobility market, but also to discover trends, scenarios and innovations that emerge from the data and from the "visions" of stakeholders and key market players. Therefore, it was aimed to represent scenarios and key innovations that are considered probable by key stakeholders.
In the development of a multi-method approach, in addition to the conventional self reported consumer survey methodologies conducted by EY, X.ITE Research Team applied some Text Mining techniques and a Delphi Panel Survey for the purpose of explaining market scenarios. Results were then presented by Prof. Michele Costabile in Milan on November, 15th 2019 and published in a white paper.
